Megan & Jake || Kohler Andrae State Park Engagement Session

Megan and Jake had their engagement session at the ever-gorgeous Kohler-Andrae State Park with this Wisconsin engagement photographer. And let me tell you—it was pure magic! The golden dunes, tall grasses, and soft evening light made for an absolutely dreamy backdrop. But the real showstopper? Megan’s dress! That bold, elegant pop of color was the perfect contrast against the neutral tones of the landscape. These two truly knocked it out of the park!

Beyond their stunning style, what makes Megan and Jake’s story so special is the way Jake proposed. When they first started dating, Megan had given Jake a Star Wars-themed valentine, knowing he was a huge fan. It was a sweet, simple gesture, but little did she know it would come full circle in the most heartfelt way.

Fast forward to Christmas Day—Jake had a surprise up his sleeve. He handed Megan a valentine with a Star Wars-inspired poem:

R4 is red,
R2 is blue,
I’d be the happiest guy in the world,
If I could marry you.

Cue the tears, excitement, and a big YES!

For most couples, their engagement session is the first time they’re in front of my camera, but not for Megan and Jake! These two responded to a model call I put out in early November, and after that session, they asked me to photograph their wedding! It’s always such an honor when couples choose me to be their Wisconsin engagement photographer, and I seriously cannot wait for their wedding next year!
