I’ve been looking forward to Emile and Zach’s spring bloom family portrait session ever since they first reached out in the dead of winter. Spring always feels extra special when you’ve been longing for sunshine and fresh blooms, and this session did not disappoint!

Emile is one of the sweetest, most encouraging, and community-oriented photographers I know, so it was such an honor to capture her beautiful family. Along with their two adorable pups, Duke and Miles, we headed to Kohler, WI, where the trees were in full bloom, creating the dreamiest backdrop for their session.

A Picture-Perfect Family Portrait Session

Photographing dogs can sometimes be a challenge, but Duke and Miles were absolute angels! Even without being enticed by treats or toys, they were so well-behaved and made the session a breeze. Whether they were sitting sweetly or running through the grass with their humans, they added so much love and personality to every shot.

But beyond the gorgeous setting and adorable pups, the real magic was in Emile and Zach’s connection. The way they looked at each other, the way they laughed together, and the little unspoken moments of love—it’s the kind of love that stands the test of time. Capturing that kind of bond is why I love what I do.

Spring sessions are always some of my favorites because the blooming trees and fresh greenery create such a vibrant, romantic atmosphere.
