The Heidel House Wedding in Green Lake, WI || Heartfelt, Elegant Wedding || Ann & Matt

Ann’s parents live just down the road from the Heidel House at Green Lake, so this venue choice was intentionally special. Emotion was the one thing that marked Ann and Matt’s wedding day. From their joyful first look to their lively reception, everything felt like pure magic.

As soon as Ann was all dressed and ready, we headed over to her parents’ home for the first look. It was the perfect, intimate location for Ann and Matt to see each other for the very first time on their wedding day. You’ll see Matt’s tender reaction to seeing his gorgeous bride for the first time. He was absolutely blown away! And it was the most precious thing to watch.

Bride and groom portraits with Ann and Matt were a favorite. We even ventured onto a dock on property that holds so many memories for their family. I love when we are able to not only shoot in a beautiful location but also one with sentimental value. It just makes portraits that much more memorable! When the bridal party joined us, they were simply exuding joy, kindness, and charm. And even though I thought this day was a hot one, they were all perfectly content in the almost 80° weather.

When we arrived to the ceremony, a live painter sat on the dock near the ceremony space that jutted out into the lake. But one of the most inventive details Ann and Matt incorporated was a wooden bench which doubled as their unique guest book as friends and family scribbled their names and well wishes all across the seat, arms, back, and even the underside in sharpie. And as we moved into reception, the live band was the icing on the cake, keeping the light-up dance floor energetic and filled with laughter and the best vibes!
