From the elegantly rustic venue, The Gathering Barn, to all the thoughtful details throughout the day, Emily and Melissa’s wedding day was nothing short of exquisite. This couple and their entire party was chock full of love. 

Throughout the getting ready process, Emily and Melissa were in the same room but separated by a curtain which allowed them to chat with each other as the excitement of the day was building. When the first look came, their faces were priceless! You could see the anxiety and stress of the morning just melt away as they saw each other for the first time. They kept telling each other how beautiful they were. Of course, they were both stunning! It was such a special, intimate moment to watch unfold. 

Portraits at The Gathering Barn

The bridal portraits were a blast! Emily and Melissa were up for anything and were absolutely on board for all the spinning, laughing, and snuggling this photographer could ever ask for. We were worried about potential rain, so we had some umbrellas just in case. And while it thankfully stayed clear the whole day, we had gotten our hopes up for some snuggly, romantic portraits under the umbrellas, so we couldn’t help but use them anyway!

The ceremony was absolutely precious. Emily came down the aisle first and as soon as she saw Melissa, she started crying. That led to Emily’s mom crying, and soon everyone was crying at the beauty of it all. It was special to see and feel the love they all had for this wonderful couple and to be able to capture it. 

As we transitioned to an upbeat reception, everyone was dancing – including all the kids – and having a grand old time! One of the coolest details of the reception was the s’mores bar. Everyone was enjoying roasting marshmallows and celebrating Emily and Melissa. I’m sure you’ll be able to feel the love and excitement from the day as you enjoy the images of this lovely couple.
